DAY 1: ARRIVE DELHI
Arrive Delhi International Airport, after meet and greet by local tour manager, transfer to hotel.

DAY 2: IN DELHI
After breakfast depart for full day city tour of Delhi. Begin with a visit to Raj Ghat, where Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the nation was cremated in 1948. Thereafter proceed to the magnificent Red Fort (closed on Mondays) built of red sandstone, dating from the very peak of the Mughal power. Then, Rickshaw Ride through Chandni Chowk. After that, visit to black and white onion domes and minarets of the Jama Masjid, the most elegant mosque in India. After Lunch, drive past RashtrapatiBhavan (the Presidential Palace) and the Secretariat buildings – the centre of Government activity, down to the impressive Rajpath (the main avenue), to the World War I memorial arch, India Gate, the High Court Building and the Old Fort. Visit Humayun’s Tomb built in 1565 AD by his grieving widow Haji Begum, theQutubMinar, a 72 metres high minaret and the ruins of Quwat-ul-Eslam (Light of Islam) Mosque. Here, see Delhi’s most curious antique, the uncorroded Iron Pillar, which dates back to the 4th century AD.

DAY 3: DELHI-LUCKNOW TRAIN
Early Morning transfer to railway station for Lucknow bound train. Arrive and transfer to hotel. In the afternoon explore the city of Nawabs. Visit La Martiniere College, KesarBagh, The Residency Compound and Bara Imambara.

DAY 4: LUCKNOW – SARAVASTI DRIVE (180 KM)
In the morning drive to Saravasti. Arrive and check in at hotel. Rest of the day to explore Saravasti, the capital of ancient kingdom of Khosala. It has the honour of sheltering Buddha for 24 rainy seasons in the Jetvana Garden. . It is sacred to Buddhists because it is here that Lord Buddha performed the Tirthika heretics.

DAY 5: SARAVASTI – LUMBINI DRIVE (205 KM)
Morning depart and drive to Lumbini, the birth place of Buddha. Lumbini is situated across Indian border, in Nepal. Arrive and check in at hotel. In afternoon visit holy birth place of Lord Buddha.

DAY 6: LUMBINI – KUSHINAGAR DRIVE (165 KM)
Morning depart and drive to Kushinagar. Visit Mahaparinirvana temple. Here Lord Buddha breathed his last breath, Rambhar Stupa (here Lord Buddha was cremated) and Japan Temple. Arrive and check in at hotel. Afternoon explore the Sites of Kushinagar.

DAY 7: KUSHINAGAR – PATNA VIA VAISHALI DRIVE (280 KM)
After breakfast drive to Patna. En route visit Vaishali, where Lord Buddha delivered his last sermon and announced his impending nirvana. In Vaishali visit Ashok Pillar, Lotus tank, and Vaishali museum. After exploration of Vaishali continue drive to Patna. Arrive Patna and check in at hotel.

DAY 8: PATNA – BODHGAYA VIA NALANDA AND RAJGIR DRIVE (181KM)
Early morning depart and drive to Bodhgaya. En route explore Nalanda and Rajgir. Explore the ruin monastic university of Nalanda, which was a centre of great learning. It reached its zenith between 5th and 12th Century AD and was blessed by the visits of both Lord Buddha and Lord Mahavir. In Rajgir, visit the Gridhakuta Hill where Lord Buddha delivered many of his sermons. It was here that the teaching of Lord Bhddha were written for the first time. There is ropeway to reach Shanti Stupa located on the hill. Other tourist attractions are King Ajatshatru’s Fort and Saptdhara, a hot water spring. Late evening arrive Bodhgaya and check in at hotel.

DAY 9: IN BODHGAYA
Full day to explore Bodhgaya and surroundings. This is the place where Lord Buddha entered into meditation. Visit the giant Bodhi tree that we see today is believed to have grown from the original Bodhi tree under which prince Siddharth (Lord Boddha) meditated and attained Nirvana. The magnificent Maha Bodhi temple here is an architectural amalgamation of many cultures.

DAY 10: BODHGAYA – VARANASI DRIVE (243 KM)
Morning depart and drive to Varanasi. Arrive by afternoon and check in at hotel. Late afternoon explore the town.

DAY 11: VARANASI – AGRA BY OVERNIGHT TRAIN
In the early morning, boat ride in river Ganges to witness the rituals around the Ghats. After breakfast drive to Sarnath, where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon (DharmachakraPravartan) after attaining Niravana. Other interesting sites are Dhamekh Stupa, Dharmajajika Stupa, Ashoka Pillar and Mulgandhakuti temple. In the evening transfer to railway station and board overnight train to Agra.

DAY 12: IN AGRA
Arrive Agra early morning. On arrival transfer to hotel. In afternoonvisit
Agra Fort (lalQila) where Shah Jehan spent the last years of his life, imprisoned by his son Aurangzeb. The Peacock throne (now in Iran) was in this fort, before being moved to Delhi by Emperor Aurangzeb. After that, visit to Taj Mahal (at sunset) (closed to visitors on Fridays), the most extravagant monument ever built for love. On the death of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, Moghul Emperor Shah Jehan built her this memorial over which 20,000 men labored for 22 years to create a masterpiece in white marble inlaid with semi-precious stones.

DAY 13: AGRA – DELHI DRIVE (202 KM) – DEPARTURE
After breakfast drive to Delhi. Arrive Delhi by lunch time. Evening free at leisure for shopping and personal activities. After Dinner transfer to International airport for onward flight.
