Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Delhi
Arrive Delhi International Airport, after meet and greet by local tour manager, transfer to hotel.
Overnight: hotel in Delhi.
Day 2: In Delhi
After breakfast depart for full day city tour of Delhi. Begin with a visit to Raj Ghat, where Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation was cremated in 1948. Thereafter proceed to the magnificent Red Fort (closed on Mondays) built of red sandstone, dating from the very peak of the Mughal power. Then, Rickshaw Ride through Chandni Chowk. After that, visit to black and white onion domes and minarets of the Jama Masjid, the most elegant mosque in India. After Lunch, drive past Rashtrapati Bhavan (the Presidential Palace) and the Secretariat buildings - the centre of Government activity, down to the impressive Rajpath (the main avenue), to the World War I memorial arch, India Gate, the High Court Building and the Old Fort. Visit Humayun’s Tomb built in 1565 AD by his grieving widow Haji Begum, the Qutub Minar, a 72 metres high minaret and the ruins of Quwat-ul-Eslam (Light of Islam) Mosque. Here, see Delhi’s most curious antique, the uncorroded Iron Pillar, which dates back to the 4th century AD.

Day 3: Delhi-Bagdogra Fly / Bagdogra-Darjeeling Drive 70km
Morning after breakfast transfer to airport for Bagdogra bound flight. On arrival transfer to Darjeeling. It has been a popular hill station since the British established it as R & R Center for its troops in the middle of 1800. Mother Teresa spent her first years as a nun with the sisters on Loreto Convent and Lawrence Durrell studied at the prestigious St. Joseph's College.

Day 4: In Darjeeling
Early morning, we drive to Tiger Hill to see the amazing colours of sunrise on Kanchenjunga. At 2550 m / 8,500 ft, Tiger Hill commands superb views of the mountains and valleys of the eastern Himalaya with Everest, Lhotse and Makalu visible in the far distance on clear days. We stop at Ghoom monastery on the way back; this monastery was built in 1875. You can take a walk to the Observatory Hill (locally known as “Dara”). Here you will witness an amazing sight of Buddhists and Hindus offering prayers side by side. You will then visit the Everest Museum at the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and perhaps pause at the zoo to look at the snow leopards and the charming red pandas. You then drive to the Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Centre where you can see carpet making and other handicrafts and visit the centre’s shop.

Day 5: Darjeeling – Pelling 80 Kms / 4-5 Hours
After breakfast you will drive to Pelling in West Sikkim, distance from Darjeeling is 80 kms driving time is 4-5 hours. On arrival transfer to hotel, after wash and change explore Pelling, Start at Kanchenjunga Waterfalls to refresh your body and mind amidst greenery and serene surroundings. Visit Sewaro Rock Garden, a place of peace and natural beauty, and Darap Valley, where the lovely scenery and fresh air provide tranquility. Discover the Helipad Ground, Rimbi Waterfalls, Khecheopalri Sacred Lake, and Rabdentse Ruins, all showcasing the rich charm of the region.

Day 6: Pelling - Yuksom 35 Kms / 1 Hour
After breakfast depart and drive to Yuksom is approximately 35 kilometre’s, and the travel time is about 1 hour. Yuksom is a historical town in Sikkim, known as the "meeting place of three lamas" and the first capital of the kingdom of Sikkim and site of the coronation of the first chogyal. It's also a gateway to the Kanchenjunga National Park and a popular base for treks. Afternoon proceed to visit Dubdi Monastery, The Monastery is located on a hill top above Yuksum surrounded by verdant forest. It can be approached by trekking only, negotiating steep slope of something like 40 – 45 minutes. Later visit Coronation Thrown.

Day 7: Yuksom - Gangtok 125 Kms / 5 Hours
In the Morning after breakfast depart and drive to Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim. The climate is subtropical in the lower valleys, but changes fast to temperate and alpine with increase in elevation. Vast rhododendron forests, Himalayan cypress, cardamom spice, mixed forests of bamboo and dozens of orchid species are common here. In afternoon we visit the Institute of Cottage Industries where young Sikkimese people are taught traditional crafts. Woollen carpets, shawls and traditionally painted tables are good buys, all at government regulated prices. Later we will visit the Enchey Monastery located on the ridge top above the town. Also visit the Institute of Tibetology which was established in 1958 as a major centre for research on Tibet and Tibetan Lamaistic Buddhism. It houses many rare books, thangkas, statues and manuscripts smuggled out of Tibet after the Chinese occupation. We will also visit the permanent 'Flower Show' that exhibits a number of native Sikkimese orchid and flower species. The afternoon is free to explore the town. We recommend a visit to the busy vegetable and spice market.

Day 8: Gangtok - Lachen 131 Kms / 6 Hours
Morning after breakfast depart and drive to Lachen 131 kms 6 hours approx. En-route visit Tashi view point, Phodong, Namok, Mangan, Singhik. You will be reached by lunch time. After Lunch time for leisure for person activities

Day 9: Lachen - Chopta Valley - Thangu - Lachung
Morning breakfast at hotel and proceed for excursion to Chopta & Thangu Valley. Chopta Valley is a destination that transcends the ordinary. A place where the air is tinged with the scent of rhododendrons and the silence is broken only by the whisper of the winds, Chopta Valley is a canvas painted by nature itself. Drive continues to Lachung 48 kms 3 hours approx.

Day 10: Yumthang Valley Excursion
Early morning breakfast - Visit to Yumthang valley, located in North Sikkim, 25 kilometers, 2 hour - A valley at an altitude of 11800 feet through which Lachung Chu flows, generally covered with snow from December to April or even more is known as the valley of flowers - Guest can spend a few hours at Yumthang - The vast Valley stretches and is a cold desert till Tibet / China - The region is fully covered with snow and Rhododendron forest

Day 11: Lachung - Gangtok 124 Kms / 6 Hours
After breakfast drive to Gangtok, covers approximately 124 kilometers and takes about 6 hours to complete. The route is scenic, offering views of lush green forests, waterfalls, and mountain streams.,The route passes through several points of interest, including Kabi Lungchok, Namok, Mangan, Singhik view point, Seven Sisters Water Falls, Naga Water Falls, and Chungthang

Day 12: In Gangtok
After breakfast drive for an excursion to Tsomgo Lake, also known as Tsongmo Lake or Changu Lake, is a glacial lake in the East Sikkim district of the Indian state of Sikkim, some 40 kilometres (25 mi) from the capital Gangtok. Located at an elevation of 3,753 m (12,313 ft), the lake remains frozen during the winter season. The lake surface reflects different colours with change of seasons and is held in great reverence by the local Sikkimese people. Buddhist monks prognosticated after studying the changing colours of the lake. After the winter season ends in middle of May, the periphery of lake has scenic blooms of flower species of rhododendrons (the state tree of Sikkim), primulas, blue and yellow poppies, irises and so forth. Also seen in the precincts of the lake are several species of birds including Brahminy ducks. Wildlife seen includes the red panda. In the evening explore local market of Gangtok

Day 13: Gangtok – Kalimpong Drive (76 Km)
In the morning, a brief drive to Rumtek Monastery on the opposite side of the valley from Gangtok. Rumtek is the seat of the Tibetan Kagyugpa sect of monks and a major centre for Tibetan religious studies. Drive continued. A scenic drive past forest covered slopes and fast flowing rivers takes us to Kalimpong (1250 m / 4,100 feet), an important market town. It is now well known for its numerous flower and orchid nurseries.

Day 14: In Kalimpong
In the morning, we drive to the monastery that overlooks superb views of Kalimpong town (and the Himalayan peaks) and visit the historic Dr Graham's home, the extensive boarding and day school facility that was established over a century ago. Then visit Anglican church with fine stained glass windows nearby and also visit one of the flower nurseries for which Kalimpong is well known across India.

Day 15:Kalimpong – Bagdogra Drive - Bagdogra – Delhi - Fly
Morning after breakfast drive to Bagdogra airport for Delhi bound flight. On arrival transfer to hotel.

After breakfast transfer to international airport for onward flight.
